Let’s get Back into Hardball!

Our FREE hardball workshops are back to help our juniors prepare for another season of hardball cricket. These are targeted at anyone new to hardball cricket or who wants to build their confidence. The sessions are free and run for three weeks.​​​​​​​

  • Basin Reserve (GIRLS ONLY) 5pm - 6:30pm - Monday 14th, 21st October, & 4th November
  • Ricoh Centre (Boys & Girls, Hutt) 4pm – 5:30pm - Wednesday 16th, 23rd, & 30th October
  • SKY Stadium (Boys & Girls, Central) 4pm – 5:30pm - Thursday 17th, 24th, & 31st October
  • Alex Moore Park (Boys & Girls, Northern) 4pm – 5:30pm - Friday 18th, 25th October, & 1st November

Primary School Festival Days

Primary School Festival Days are facilitated across the region for students in year 3 to 8 to provide participants and opportunity to engage in pairs and non-stop cricket in a fun an inclusive environment. To register your interest for your local Primary School Festival please get in touch with your Primary School Association Zone/Cluster Lead.

JUNIOR CLUB CRICKET

Cricket Wellington’s junior cricket accommodates the Different Ages and Stages format with the objective of providing accelerated skill development, making cricket action packed and fast paced with maximum involvement for participants. This means shorter pitch lengths, fewer player numbers, shortened boundaries and appropriately sized bats & balls, More action, more running, more balls in play, less wides & MORE FUN!

Junior Friendly Matches 

Cricket Wellington is happy to set up friendly matches inside PlayHQ for clubs/teams who have organised them. It is important that all friendly matches have pitches/grounds booked directly with the local council first.

Once you have booked a pitch/ground send through all the match details to tom.kinley@cricketwellington.co.nz copying in both teams coaches & ensure the teams have been set up inside the clubs PlayHQ.
