The Wellington Blaze have confirmed the addition of Canterbury allrounder Jess Simmons for the upcoming 2025/26 domestic season.

Simmons joins the Blaze after gaining valuable experience with Canterbury, where she featured as a right-arm medium pace bowler and right-hand batter. Her move strengthens the Blaze squad with added versatility and depth ahead of a packed summer campaign.

Blaze Head Coach Jonny Bassett-Graham is looking forward to having Simmons in the group.

“Jess is a promising cricketer who brings an exciting skill set to the Blaze and adds a point of difference to the squad,” he said. “She’ll bring real value to the squad, and we’re excited to support her continued development here in Wellington.”

Simmons joins the defending Dream11 Super Smash champions as the Blaze prepare for another competitive season across both the Super Smash and Hallyburton Johnstone Shield competitions.
