ANZ National Primary School Cup Finals – Raroa Normal Intermediate School


Wellington's Raroa Normal Intermediate School have finished fourth at the ANZ National Primary School Cup Finals in Christchurch.

Raroa's two wins, two losses and one abandonment meant they finished just behind the tournament's top three teams - Medbury School (Christchurch), King's School (Auckland) and Hereworth School (Havelock North) who all finished on seven points.

Highlights for Raroa included Arana Cronin-Stone's 5-11 against Dunedin's John McGlashan College, Adam Rogers' 45 against Auckland's King's School and Cronin-Stone (67) and Harry Law's (46) big opening partnership where they put on 87 for the first wicket against Hamilton’s Berkley Intermediate School.

Raroa Normal Intermediate School (A Cronin-Stone 18, J Riley 2-14) )beat John McGlashan College (Cronin-Stone 5-11, H Chowdhury 2-16) by 4 wickets

Raroa Normal Intermediate School (A Cronin-Stone 67, H Law 46, B Begbie 2-35) beat Berkley Intermediate (S Keightley 50, A Collings 2-24) by 28 runs

Medbury School (F Huston 48, N Sharr 37, B Chinn 2-7, A Collings 2-24) beat Raroa Normal Intermediate School (A Rogers 27*, A Smith 3-12) by 105 runs
