Betty Watt, an ex-Wellington and New Zealand cricketer, was inducted as a Hutt Valley Sports Legend at the Hutt Valley Sports Awards last week. Holding a photo of her late husband, Russell Watt, the two were inducted together as legends of their respective games.

Betty was a dual international in cricket and hockey, and her husband, Russell, played 42 tests for the All Blacks.
