Cricket Wellington and our organising committee, Fa'alogo Va'ai, Dr. Lea’uasālilō Sadat Muaiava, Shana Muaiava, Ezra Iupeli present the first ever day of kilikiti at the Basin Reserve!
Throughout the Day:
Food Stalls - Get your hands on some delicious food options, including Pasifika foods, coffee, sausage sizzles and more!
Wellington Free Ambulance will provide ambulance tours + CPR workshops for all
DJ WAYNO will be on the decks!
Nate Lopa on the mic, prizes to be won throughout the day
NZ Cricket Museum will be open, including its historic kilikiti exhibition
FREE BUSES (first in, first served):
Porirua: 8:00am from Waitangirua Mall, stopping at Porirua Train Station (East Side) at 8:15am before heading to the Cello Basin Reserve
Hutt Valley: 8:15am from Ricoh Sports Centre at Fraser Park to the Cello Basin Reserve
Buses will leave the festival at 4pm on their return trip.
PARKING:
No parking available at Basin carparks, but free parking is available nearby in both the Mount Victoria + Mount Cook suburbs.
FOOD AND DRINKS:
- Alcohol-free event
- Smoking or vaping in the ground is prohibited
- No glass allowed in the Basin.
- Bring a picnic or enjoy one of the food stalls at the Basin
- Be respectful of the field and follow instructions from staff
