Xara is a right-handed batter, right-arm off-break bowler and agile fielder in any position. She played her first HBJ Shield game for the Blaze against the Canterbury Magicians at Karori Park in February 2019 aged 17 and made her T20 debut against the Magicians on the Basin Reserve in January 2020. In November 2025 Xara took 6-89 in an HBJ Shield game against the Central Hinds at Palmerston North.
