Jess is a right-handed top-order batter and wicket keeper. She played her first HBJ Shield and Super Smash games for the Blaze against the Northern Spirit at Karori Park in November 2015. She played three ODIs and one T20I for the WHITE FERNS against Bangladesh in 2022/23. Also a Wellington representative hockey player, Jess attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina on a hockey scholarship from 2012 to 2015 graduating in studio art and communications. Of Ngāi Tahu heritage, Jess captained Aotearoa Wāhine at the second Women’s T20 Pacific Cup tournament held at Auckland in January 2024.
