Our Wellington Firebirds and Blaze are passionate about supporting the local Wellington community and we endeavour to send our players to cricket and non-cricket events in the community throughout the season. Our players have represented the Firebirds and Blaze in the community in a number of ways, including local charity events, appearing at local club trainings and prizegivings and attending corporate events to support the Wellington business community.
Cricket Wellington receive many requests for player appearances each year from a wide variety of organisations and causes, schools and community groups. Whilst we endeavour to fullfill as many requests as possible, we cannot guarantee to fulfill every request because of the level of demand.
Please note the following in relation to player appearances:
- Player availability is subject to the Firebirds and Blaze playing, training and travel schedule
- Players are available for appearances during the player's contracted period (August - May) - players can be arranged for appearances outside of these times however availability cannot be guaranteed.
- Players are not available on match days
- Players are generally not available the day after a match
