Tonight, thanks to Crombie Lockwood, we were honoured to host the launch of Sir Richard Hadlee's new book, The Skipper's Diary.

The culmination of three years of dedication from Sir Richard, The Skipper's Diary tells the story of the famous 49ers - the New Zealand cricket team that toured to the UK in 1949.

Using his father's tour diary, The Skipper's Diary is an incredible insight in to perhaps the most significant tour ever undertaken by a Blackcaps side.

Massive THANK YOU to Justine, Ollie, Matt and Bhavik for coming out to Totara Park School today to teach the kids some cricket skills! My son Jack wrote a letter asking if Cricket Wellington could come to his school- and I can honestly say you have made his dream come true by coming today! All the kids loved it - it was amazing to watch the kids enjoying it especially the kids that have never played before. I think Jack will be sleeping with his signed cricket bat tonight! Thanks again for a great day!
