Easts back on track after solid victory

Eastern Suburbs are back on track to make the final of the National Club Champs after a resounding victory over Otago champions Albion.

Albion won the toss and decided to bat and were in trouble early at 5-48. They never really recovered and battled their way to 109 all out. All the Eastern Suburbs bowlers chipped in and they produced their best bowling display of the tournament so far.

The men from the Capital didn’t waste time in chasing down the small total and bludgeoned their way to 111 off just 12.5 overs. Good opening stand of 81 by Jeremy Dean and Josh Brodie helped Eastern Suburbs record their first win of the competition.

Albion (Otago) 109/10 LOST TO Eastern Suburbs (Wellington) 111/2 (Jeremy Dean 36, Josh Brodie 37) BY 8 WICKETS.
