Fundamental Physical
Development Programme

Ensuring kids have the basic physical skills needed for a
bright future

Do you think children are developing today like they did 30 years ago? Do you think a today’s sedentary lifestyle is resulting in children missing out on some key development activities? Many researchers do.

FPDP is an exciting physical development programme developed by the Wellington School of Cricket to help children develop the skills that they may not be learning through their every day activities in today’s society. Its objective is to help children develop the four fundamental physical skills to have a bright future: Balance, Co-ordination and Reaction time, Speed and Agility, and Strength. These skills are not only important for a complete sportsperson, but are the necessities for any physical activity in life. They are basic life skills of which today’s children are exposed to less and less.
