National Cricket Club Day 16 March

The National Cricket Club is an important partner of NZC, and are holding a NCC day in Wellington on Tuesday 16 March.

The NCC Day includes coaching and skills sessions for both coaches and young players and a barbeque with the Black Caps at the end of the day:

Coaching for Coaches

Whether coaching at a secondary school or volunteering with the game’s youngest players, coaches can hone their skills with the best at this top-level training session. The first 60 minutes will cover the theories and principles of coaching. The final 30 minutes will be spent going over drills and practical issues.

Session runs from 1.30-3.00pm. Limited to 25 per session

Super Skills Session

Kids can practice their skills with some of New Zealand’s top cricket coaches in this fun, 60-minute clinic. Three sessions will be available, at the following times: Primary Players, 3.30-5.00pm; Intermediate Players, 5.00-6.30pm; and Junior Secondary Players, 6.30-8.00pm. Registration is 30min before the commencement of the session.

Limited to 100 per session.

BBQ with the BLACKCAPS

All NCC members are invited to round off the day with a barbeque, which we’ll be firing up from 5pm onwards. Participants will have the chance to swap tips with some of New Zealand’s top players, grab some autographs and take home some great cricket giveaways. Like all the other NCC events, it’s free, courtesy of The National Bank.
