Cricket Wellington introduces Tama Walker to Community Cricket Coordinator – Junior Cricket role

Cricket Wellington is pleased to welcome Tama Walker to our ranks as our new Community Cricket Coordinator – Junior Cricket.  With a background in sports administration and teaching, Tama will be a valuable addition to the Development team. Previously working at Sport Wairarapa and at The Oval in London, Tama brings to us a passion for cricket, strong contacts within the industry, and a keen insight into the needs of junior cricket.

Tama will already be known to some, as he has previously been a Club Development Officer and a player for Karori CC

His playing history consists of playing for Central Districts age teams and playing several years of Hawke Cup cricket for Wairarapa, debuting at age 16.  He played for Karori in Pearce Cup in 2005/06 and played three seasons as an overseas pro in London, returning to New Zealand in 2007.
