Girls and Womens Cricket Review
“More girls and women playing and participating in cricket and enjoying the cricket experience”
“To conduct a comprehensive review of girls and women’s cricket at all levels of the game and produce a robust plan that includes strategies that will achieve the project vision”
Late last year Cricket Wellington commissioned an independent review of girls and womens cricket. The review is seen as critical for developing strategies for the future growth of the game for girls and women. It has been a number of years since such a review has taken place.
The sporting landscape has never been more complex, challenging, changing, demanding and rewarding. It calls for dynamic leadership and a strong customer focus is essential if members, (participants and athletes) are to have a lifelong love of the game.
Over the period of the review we will be seeking feedback from cricket’s stakeholders and potential stakeholders. This will be done in a variety of ways. Right now however we seek your feedback and encourage you to go directly to Cricket Wellington’s website www.cricketwellington.co.nz
and complete the survey
In time the findings and recommendations will be contained in a Strategic and Operations Plan and communicated back to our ‘Cricket Family’.
It is envisaged that this review will be completed by no later than 30th June 2013, in time for implementation for the 2013-14 cricket season.
The Review Advisory Team make-up is; Cricket Wellington Board members, Sally Morrison and Bruce Pepperell, Cricket Wellington Staff, Robbie Kerr - High Performance Director of Cricket, Mark Coles - Women’s and Coaching Co-ordinator and Bryan Dickinson - Development and Operations Manager and two independents from Sport Wellington, Mark Watson - Community Coach Advisor and Sport Development Manager - Kevin Wilson (Chairperson). The Advisory Team will at its discretion involve other people, groups, specialists and stakeholders as required.
