Under 19 World Cup Liason Officer

 

In January 2010, New Zealand Cricket (NZC), on behalf of the International Cricket Council (ICC), will host the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup. The tournament will involve 16 teams from around the world and NZC will appoint a Liaison Officer to each team who will be based with their team for the duration of the teams’ involvement in the tournament. All 16 teams will assemble in Christchurch on Saturday 09 January for 4 days to play a warm up match and to undertake a team briefing and media commitments. Group play will then commence with eight teams remaining in Christchurch, four teams transferring to Queenstown and the other four to Palmerston North.

After group play the tournament splits into the top eight who will play in Christchurch (the Super League) and the bottom eight who will play in Napier (the Plate).

The tournament culminates in the Plate Final on Friday 29 January and the Super League Final on Saturday 30 January.

 

NZC is seeking applications from suitably qualified and interested people for the role of Liaison Officer – 16 persons will be appointed.
